About The Author

With graduate degrees and eleven professional certifications in Knowledge Management, Change Management, Project Management, Quality, and Agile Methodology, Brent Hunter is a Master Certified Knowledge Manager, Senior Project Manager, author of five books, IT professional, producer, former psychotherapist and National Certified Counselor. He has held many positions ranging from a software engineer experienced in 10 programming languages, to Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Technology Manager, and CIO/Director of IT, in addition to being the Chairman and CEO of his own companies. Hunter has worked in many industries including insurance, healthcare, banking / financial services, education, consulting services, entertainment and military / defense at companies such as General Electric, Wells Fargo Bank, Robert Half International and Blue Shield of California.

Hunter is also a social media pioneer as the founder of the first Internet-based global community started in 1994 called “The Park,” with more than 700,000 members in 190 countries worldwide.

Brent earned a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from Clarkson University, an M.S. in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University, and the equivalent of an M.S. in Information Systems after he graduated from the General Electric Company’s fast-track Information Systems Management Program.

Brent is an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School, and is involved with a number of global civic organizations, including a past position in the United Nations Association of the U.S. as the Vice President of Communications in the Northern California Division.

Hunter’s first book, The Pieces of Our Puzzle: An Integrated Approach to Personal Success and Well-Being, provides a holistic synthesis of the world’s major schools of psychology.

Another one of Brent’s books is The Rainbow Bridge: Bridge to Inner Peace and to World Peace, which illuminates the common ground in the world’s major wisdom traditions and includes a 14-Point Road Map to World Peace.

In addition, Hunter has compiled two books of quotes about wisdom, Nuggets of Wisdom: Quotes to Ponder and Inspire and More Nuggets of Wisdom: Quotes to Ponder and Inspire, and has written the upcoming The Park Odyssey.

After being born in Brooklyn, NY and living in Upstate New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and San Francisco, Brent currently lives, plays, and works in Los Angeles with his wife Dea, Golden Retriever Maisie and North American Sphynx Bindi.
